Well, poo. I really, really did not want to have to recommend a band called Diarrhea Planet, but I’m convinced it’s the right thing to do. I’m not talking out of stool when I say that their new EP is one of the most fun, reckless, drunk-on-rock records I’ve heard in some time.
Just try and resist the badassery of “Heatwave”:
The aformentioned EP is called Aliens in the Outfield and it’s digitally dropping on 11/18 and on 10″ vinyl 11/25, both on the consistently-interesting Infinite Cat Recordings. The vinyl version is limited to a run of 1000; 800 of these will be randomly-colored and 200 will be translucent blue.
I hear that Diarrhea Planet is a blast in the pants to see live, and I certainly hope they get out to LA soon. Here’s their schedule for now:
