|Andrew from Portland’s Greylag put together a splendidly-curated list of 2014’s musical highlights!
Check out all of our 2014 year-end lists here.
GREYLAG’S BEST OF 2014 (in no specific order):
- Broncho – Just Enough Hip To Be A Woman
- Jodorowsky’s Dune (Film)
- Ben Frost – Aurora
- Slowdive live at Crystal Ballroom in Portland
- Einstürzende Neubauten live at Le Guess Who fest
- Although his record came out in 2013, we discovered Morgan Delt in 2014
- Listened straight through/back to back both albums – On The Beach & Tonight’s The Night – by Neil Young
- We felt a swell of pride for The War On Drugs gang with the huge success of their new release Lost In The Dream
- Like everyone else, we also fell in love with Angel Olsen and her latest Burn Your Fire For No Witness
- For the first time ever, I (Andrew) watched Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii. Don’t ask how that’s possible.
BONUS (from Amy)! Do you like slowly-building rock jams like they used to play on the AM radio? Then you should definitely check out Greylag’s “Yours to Shake”.
